More Info: Possibly a cross between Mexican and West Indian types, 'Brogden' originated as a seedling grown in Winter Haven, Florida, on the property of Tom W. Brogden in the 1930s. An excellent cold hardy avocado easily identified by it's purple skin. It is an excellent choice for guacamole lovers from New Orleans to Orlando.
