More Info: The original tree was grown from seed on the property of nurseryman John Hatcher in Lantana, Florida and was selected during the 1930s-40s. A 2005 pedigree analysis indicated that Hatcher was likely a cross between the Haden and Brooks cultivars. Once John realized the delicious eating quality of his fruit, he propagated it and proceeded to plant a four-acre mango orchard that he proudly named Hatcher’s Mango Hill.
