---------------------------
Type and Parentage: a citrus hybrid of a pomelo and a citron.
Season: Everbearing
Self-pollinating: Yes
Tree Size: 12 - 24 ft.
Average diameter (inches): 6 - 8
Seeds: 7 - 15
Cold: Sensitive
Description: Medium to large fruit with a thick and bumpy rind. Underneath the surface, there's a semi-thick, white, and spongy pith encasing the pale green to yellow flesh.
More Info: Less cold-hardy than a true lemon. Trees will produce huge, grapefruit-sized fruit that are juicy and mildly tart. Fruits are seedy, and while they look similar to a Citron, they taste like a lemon. While the fruit are larger than that of a normal lemon, they have the same flavor and acidity. As such, the fruit can be used in place of true lemons. Not widely grown commercially, but commonly grown as an ornamental plant. Makes an excellent fresh-squeezed lemonade for lemonade, salad dressings or on seafood dishes.
