Description: Fruit shape is somewhat short ovoid, stem and long necked, medium size fruit, rind 10 mm thick, seeds are numerous 3 - 4 per segment, polyembryonic. Skin is yellow, coarsely pebbled, somewhat bumpy, and easily removed, with tendency to re-green.
More Info: Sanbokan is a little known lemon, with its pronounced basal nipple and knobby rind it is unmistakable from any other citrus. Fruit peels easily like a tangerine, the flesh is tender and sweet like a mix of sweet orange and grapefruit. Flavor profile is a mix between sweet orange and grapefruit, giving Sanbokan a natural “lemonade” taste, the perfect mix of sweet and tart.
