More Info: Originated in Jamaica in the late 1800s. Although frequently referred to as an orange, there is evidence to suggest it is actually a tangerine x orange hybrid or tangor. The fruit rind, with a pebbly or somewhat rough surface, is fairly thick and relatively easy to remove.
